PFK offers a board-and-train program and trains basic to advanced obedience, increased focus off leash, solid recall, house manners, and more. PFK uses balanced training including positive reinforcement for learning new behaviors and uses the E-collar Technologies e-collar to proof and maintain clearly communicated boundaries.

PFK can prepare your gun dog for the upcoming hunting season. PFK offers basic gun dog training including gun conditioning, developing eagerness on birds, and hunt in front of the gunner. PFK also offers advanced gun dog training with emphasis on flushers and retrievers. PFK can train steadiness to flush, shot, or fall, retrieve to hand, handling on blinds, honoring a bracemate, and stopping to whistle and gunshot.
PFK is located in the heart of the prairie pothole region with ample hunting opportunities on wild birds including waterfowl, pheasants, sharptail grouse, and Hungarian partridge. PFK offers a board-and-hunt program where Hannah will regularly put your gun dog on wild birds throughout the hunting seasons

Don’t want to deal with the puppy phase? PFK is well versed in developing puppies into bold, confident, and well rounded young adults. PFK can socialize, potty train, place train, teach basic manners, and provide an introduction to basic obedience. Leave the messes up to us and go home with a pleasant puppy.

PFK offers short- and long-term boarding in either a kennel or in-home setting in temperature controlled buildings. Enjoy your time away knowing your dog is getting the care and attention they deserve. All dogs will enjoy supervised time in the exercise yard periodically throughout the day. Kennel dogs will have a clean run and comfortable cot. In-home boarded dogs will be placed in a quiet setting and provided time indoors for lounging on the couch. PFK offers a wide range of accommodations to fit your dog’s specific needs.

PFK has brought home ribbons from several venues over handler-trained dogs including AKC hunt tests, HRC tests, and CKC Field Trials. PFK offers training and handling for spaniel- and retriever-focused field trials and testing.
Meet The Trainer
Hannah has had a lifelong love for dogs. She grew up around waterfowl dogs, assisting her dad in training them for the field. Hannah has always had a dog of her own ranging from adopted mix-breeds to gun dogs. Hannah has apprenticed under Mike Stolhand of J&S Kennels in Oklahoma and Tom Ness of Oahe Kennels in North Dakota. Hannah uses a variety of training methods including clicker training and e-collar training and focuses on maintaining enthusiasm under the required pressure to reach goals. “Train the dog in front of you” is Hannah’s philosophy and she strives to meet each individual dog where they are. She believes there is no “one size fits all” and each dog requires individualized training at their own pace. Hannah treats all client dogs as if they’re her own, prioritizing comfort and building a partnership.
